I heard this morning on the radio (Friday 05/12/2006) that he was joining a band that hadn't had a lead singer since February. It was apparently the band whose song Chris did in one of the shows but I didn't hear the whole story. All I got was it was the band that did "Hemorrhage". Maybe he's not gonna be their singer but the radio guy said, "they heard about Chris when he did their song, "Hemorrhage", on American Idol" so I kind of assumed he was saying he's going to be their singer. Any other word of this out there?

I am so dissappointed in America right now because Chris Daughtry should have been the winner of American Idol. He was not only my favorite one but one of the best ones on the show. I have watched AI ever since the first season. It has taken me all these seasons to finally be convinced the show is a hoax. It is quite obvious the producers pick who they want to win, okay, maybe Simon was surprised, because his buddies don't tell him ahead of time, but I doubt it. Chris was way too talented for this show. AI wouldn't know what to do with Chris if he won. Here's no way he could sing their corny ass songs, they wouldn't know how to properly market him, he's not a Teen Scene magazine kind of guy. He'd be sitting at home like Ruben Studdard or Fantasia and not selling out arenas and stadiums like he's gonna do. Chris, you hit the nail no the head when you sang a Bon Jovi song, because like Jon and his band.... they stayed true to themselves, they have been going strong for 20+ years and you are about to do reach the same heights they have.... Rock on.... see you when you come "home" to rock NC!

Our family is outraged at the Wednesday night results. We, along with countless others, will no longer be watching any episodes of American Idol. The 'results' were obviously tainted by someone or something. We have absolutely enjoyed watching Chris and will support him in his future career. We can't wait to have a release from him! Im from South Carolina. It seems Chris rates drop when affected by school breaks or commitments. We have mandatory pac testing in SCarolina. Kids in my sons class were not allowed to stay up and watch or vote on American Idol because folks wanted them rested./ The two weeks Chris also scored low were when schools were on easter/spring break and folks were off vacationing. Anyhow Chris got something like 12,500,000 votes. I am not sure but I believe there was only 100,000 between top and bottom. Local rock station says best thing could happen to Chris. Suggested Idol is murder on a rocker and could kill his career if continued to do music by The Manilows. Stewarts and I have no idea who that Italian guy was. Anyhow, dont need to watch Idol anymore I'll wait until Chris goes on his own tour. Cant wait for an album. I'll be in line to buy. I PREDICT IF HE EVEN JUST DOES A NURSERY RHYME ALBUM IT WILL SELL OUT IN A WEEK.

Chris is the best thing to come to AI since it began. A true star who could and of course WILL go very far. I believe he has the charisma, and intelligence to take his extreme talent to the best and highest. Ruben who? Fantasia who?,,, see, you don't have to win, just be honest and the best. I will be waiting in line for the first CD and I am 63 years old. Good music is hard to come by that makes you want to sit and listen and jiggle those feet. Chris does that with everyone. There of course will be a winner, however, as with Ruben, the real winner was Clay Aiken. The buyers and fans know who and what they want. It is absolutely silly that he was voted off and something mysterious sure happened. I couldn't get on the first hour at all!!! However, after the second hour began I placed 51 calls. Something fishy there. PLEASE don't let it be that spoiled little rich kid, Kathryn.. It will be my family's last viewing of this show. Thank you for letting me spout off, but after 63 years of the best of all music, I finally found someone who I will listen to and spend money on. Sure hope Randy and Simon are watching what they are doing before Mattolla grabs him first..

My jaw dropped to the floor after Ryan said Chris was going home last night. What a terrible results show. There really should be a recount or something. Or at the very least, American Idol should apologize to the fans by saying that they "may" have suffered technical problems during vote night, which "may" have contributed to some votes not being cast for Chris. If his fans really took the night off and didnt vote for him that night, that's one thing....but for him to be voted out because of technical problems, is a really lame reason. Katharine is ok. But she doesn't stand a chance against the amazing voice quality, charisma, and sex appeal of Chris. She has a tendency to oversing and comes out more like a beauty pageant contestant who just happens to have a good singing voice rather than a singer who just happened to be beautiful. Now Chris is different. He's a star through and through.

I don't really ever vote or get too much into the american idol show, although I always watch it. I've watched pretty much all the shows over the years and I must say that I have sometimes disagreed with the outcome of the vote, I have never completely thought that the vote was crazy. I was sorry to see Chris go too. I always knew from the beginning he was the most talented and most consistent vocal performer. I think this could be a blessing in disguise for him though, because he is so talented he can be a free agent once his obligation to AI ends. He is a "true rocker" and I'm not sure AI was the right format for him. He is better than the average talent on AI and deserves his own stage. I voted for him last night because I thought the judges were rather harsh and I always support him regardless of how he performs. That is really the way the voting should be. A talented person like him should never be voted off for having a slightly off night. He was always consistent in his performances and deserved our votes. Katherine was not and should have been voted off last night. AI never seems to recognize real talent and the judges do influence the voters, Bo Bice for one should have been last seasons winner, but he was glad he wasn't because he was afraid it would ruin his reputation as a true rocker. Don't take it so hard that Chris was voted off because he will do just fine on his own.

I still can't believe Chris was voted off! He was by far the best singer and performer on the show. Every show he was always the best, but especially the last show. Kat was nothing less than a spazz and her voice is rather squeaky, Taylor's voice is ok, but he is way too obnoxious. And Elliott's voice is just plain annoying. First ...would be nice if Chris did read at his fans sites and see all the support he has! That alone should be enough to show him that he *is* an AMERICAN IDOL - doesn't need the American Idol show label one bit :) I'm not going to boycott the AI show per se ...however I am done for this season. For no reason other than I have no interest in the three remaing. I can't even visualize a single perforance of Elliot's in my mind ...so he obviously did not stick out for me. Katherine ...even if she did win I don't see her being much more than a one hit/album wonder. Nothing about her makes her stick out over and above the thousands of other female recording artists out there. Taylor ...well I don't think anyone who watched this season will forget him either! lol ...however, he's not recording-artist material. Hell of a performer, but there is where his talent begins and ends in my opinion. Everyone just needs to remember there is a silver lining in every cloud and well this silver lining is HUGE ...hardly any "cloud" there to speak of. Did Chris not get what he needed out of American Idol? He got his chance - many of them - to say to America (and the world, just cuz the whole world can't vote doesn't mean there isn't Chris Daughtry fans *every where*!) ...anyway, did he not get his chance to say, "Hey, look at me! I have talent!" It's clear to see that the recording industry, other musicians/bands, and an untold number of fans agree with him! Chris ...you are going to be a HUGE star! I think it might even be safe to say, bigger for having had this happen than if you had actually won the competition. The coverage certainly seems as great lol ...people aren't going to forget you. And ...as others have pointed out, you're not AI property now ...that *has* to mean even greater opportunities. As outraged as your fans are, AI will most certainly be the most outraged when they don't get to ride on your coattails and take their cut ...they won't be making any more moeny off of you ;) I don't think any of the remaining three would be able to say the same thing ...they don't have talent enough to make it with out the boost from AI ...you do Chris so don't let us down! I can't believe that Chris got kicked off last night. He was my hero, I could have seen him win it all. I was so shocked, I was crying for over a half an hour and I still can't get over it. Last night, for the 3rd time in 3 seasons watching AI, I found myself wondering if the voting is somehow rigged for the rating. Why are the actual number of votes received by each contestant never announced? I spent a full 2 hours trying to vote for Chris on Tuesday and got through ONCE, at close to 11 pm - that means that Chris must have received close to the maximum number of votes that the phone-in system could have received in that 2 hour window... Chris's elimination, and the incessant childish bickering and put-downs between the judges is reason enough for me not to watch the rest of the season, nor any future seasons to come. American Idol got it wrong!

Dude, I'm not an american idol fan, but one day my little sister told me to come and listen, you rocked man. Honestly, I never watched a damn minute of the show except when ya sang man. I would catch bits of the other contestants on TV and hear their whole performance on the radio the following morning, not bad, but no so hot. It's a crime against music that they are still on the show, while your not. But when you think about it a bulk of the Rock audience doesn't watch American Idol. Chris peforming was the highlight every week for me and my family. I had a feeling all day that America had let us down on the voting and he would be leaving the show so I was not as shocked as he was, but I was just as saddened. I think American's in general tend to vote for the underdog. Chris has the best voice, he's the only one to see in concert, and the only one that will have great albums.
