I finally understand that this show is nothing but a joke and a waste of time. As my sister n law and I sat in our living room watching American Idol tonight we couldn't believe what we saw. We where shocked when they said Chris Daughtry was going home. So shocked that we just dont know if we want to watch this. People just dont relize the true talent that Chris has.We are not sure what the voting scores are because the public does not see these scores and we believe that this is unfair and that there should have been someone else going home tonight. I don't want an AI cd. I want a Chris Daughtry cd!!!! America got suckered in with Taylor's weird antics and Paula Abdul's idiotic show of her own particular favorites. I loved Chris' voice from the 1st time I heard it. Shocked? You bet! My kids who are in their 20's agreed 100%, they'd like to have your cd, too. America didn't vote as to WHOSE cd they would actually buy, but got caught up in I'm not sure what. Quite possibly the way that certain finalists were pushed in our faces by the promotions of the show. But then, I never saw Chris as an in your face, gotta be center stage hog that was obvious with some of the contestants. Rockin Chris, also sang the sexiest song I've ever heard, Have you ever loved a Woman? HOT, HOT, HOT. This is the only contestant this year that ALL generations would love to have singing in the car, their home, alone or with friends, or even thier special someone. Humble, serious about the venture, responsible, handsome, committed, family man and God fearing. CHRIS DAUGHTRY YOU ARE THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL. The screwed up phone lines most likely had alot to do with the outcome of tonights elimination. So, come on Chris, who are you going to sign with? How do I get to be the first to buy your solo cd? Cause honestly I don't care if I ever hear any of the other contestants silly, boring or I forgot the lyrics songs again. Chris is totally the best contestant on AI. The others are good, but they are not Idol quality. I tried for over an hour to get through to his voting line with no success. All I got was "this call cannot be completed as dialed". What the hell is up with that? Someone sure needs to look into this, because it certainly sounds fishy.

I am so proud of Chris! He is an unbelievable entertainer! He is the whole package and was the only reason to watch AI this season. My belief is that alot of people were sooo certain that he was a shoo-in, that they didn't think they even needed to call. (I know quite a few Chris fans guilty of that. However, by the sound of things, it sounds like maybe they wouldn't have been able to get through anyway.) Eventhough he "supposedly" got the lowest votes, we all know he is the only one on the show capable of insane record sales and ticket purchases. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but it's a blessing in disguise...he won't be stuck with the crappy AI record contract and will get to choose from many great offers! Finally a rock star from THIS generation, but no all the idiots for Taylor (why has this guy never been in the bottom 2 or 3?) have to go and screw it up for a cool guy with a family!!!! I called all night last night, constantly..and got through 3 times for Chris--that's all. Felt confident, too. He was the winner this year. My husband and I are ticked off. First year we've watched from the beginning, won't be a second. Did anyone notice that Ryan said the phones would be open for 'at least' two hours? Were they open longer? Hmmmmm......... Chris Daughtry's album will be the only American Idol I plan to buy!!

Hey, I was reading other comments and noticed that others were saying they couldn't get through on his phone lines. I voted 65 times, but I probably actually hit redial about 100 times b/c it would either ring and ring until it said your call cannot be completed as dialed, or it would just automatically say that. I think that AI is rigged and I'm not just saying that b/c I'm upset Chris is gone. It seems awfully funny that on Wednesday nights, usually the one who is the obvious one to be voted off, is not. I think the producers do it for the shock factor. I will not be watching the rest of the season or next year. After 5 seasons of watching this is the last straw. I've had enough.

I have watched every episode this season and was absolutley shocked when I heard that Chris was not coming back. I actually got mad and wanted to never watch the show again. The three remaining idols do not have the potential to be big stars like Chris does. I think Taylor is fun, but he will not be successful in the music charts. Elliot has a great voice but he doesn't have the "Idol look" or personality. Catherine is a beautiful girl but I don't see her being successful either and she tends to choke under pressure. Sad, sad, sad. Obviously, America doesn't know great talent when they see it. I'm not here to bash the other singers but this was no competition. AI has always favored kareoke type singers and Chris being voted off tonight solidifies that statement. I've never been one for the message boards, but I am so upset and broken hearted after having to watch that terrible show tonight. I am done watching American Idol. I'm tired of the best singers losing. I've watched American Idol since the first season and Chris is definetly the best singer so far. I don't really even care who wins now. I have been voting for Chris the whole season. He is the only one who has ever broken the boring pop music mold and truly been great at it. (I know there was Constantine and Bo, but they don't even hold a candle to Chris). The three that are left can only sing one type of song. Chris is so versatile. I think everyone knows by the look on Simon's face that he was just thinking how much it is going to suck trying to get people to buy an album from Kat, Elliott, or Taylor. Chris was by far the best talent on the show and I'm still in shock that Kat will go on after her HORRIBLE performance last night. Chris is the best and besides Elliot is the most down to earth. Kat just reeks of snobbiness I know Chris will go on to make a record of his own without Idols help and I'll be one of the first to buy it. Chris was my only reason for watching the show, and you can bet that next week their ratings will go down. At least thats my prediction. I know of at least one less viewer they'll have. Not much I can add to the previous comments you've all read but Chris, please don't limit yourself to hard rock. You have an incredibly sexy quality to your voice that is rarely heard. Your version of Johnny Cash's song-wow and Suspicious Minds - OH MY GOSH!!! I am appalled, aghast, astounded, astonished, confounded, dismayed, shocked, thunderstruck and absolutely speechless after tonight's results show. I sat here for about 45 minutes before I could even think. There is no way Chris Daughtry should have been the one with the least votes tonight. He should have been last man standing at the end of the finals. I am absolutely done with this show. This has got to be the biggest load of absurdity that I have ever seen in my life. Last season was bad enough when Carrie won over Bo. Now my husband and I will never watch again.
